*Issued by the Movable Book Society for her undergraduate thesis, A Tail’s Tale”: An Interactive Picture book About Child-Pet Companionship in Enhancing Emotional Literacy for Children Ages 7 to 11.
APRL, without an “i”, reflects how her work goes beyond herself – embracing the collaborative nature of creativity.
Inspired by children’s imaginative way of seeing the world, she designs interactive experiences translated into sculptures, installations–even picture books, pop-ups and stop-motion.
Through creating levels of interactivity with the material's tactile charm is her invitation for the audience to become part of the story too.
APRL reimagines and reshapes how stories unfold.
She values gentle craftsmanship and radiates child-like wonder guided by the poetic simplicity of paper and its tactile nature. Intentional and innately curious, APRL emphasizes the freedom of paper's materiality to reconstruct and/or deconstruct into 2D and 3D forms in reimagining narratives with a balance of clues and curiosity.
Holding a double degree in Medical Technology and Visual Communication shaped her experimental creative process. But looking inwards, APRL’s work is deeply rooted in the importance of making space for fostering intuitive creative expression.
A gentle reminder to truly express oneself – and just simply play.
"Meticulous, detailed, and intensely curious, APRL's bold and surprising work stands apart for its complexity and interactivity."

Let's reimagine together. Simply say hello!
Meet my studio buddies!
April hopes fully bloom in her own way and experience the fullness of life as it is. Starting from short afternoon walks as she basks herself in the warmth of the sun (of course, always wearing sunscreen!).
She shares a workspace with her pet, Antoinette, whose main role in the studio is freelance napping. Along with interns Eggy and Julio.
A fluffy reminder to always dream :)
