Interactive Lighting Design
A glimpse towards a window sparks a distant memory of the gentle stillness of life. The thoughtful illumination of Wonderwall livens the room and those in it, wherever and whenever you want it to be.
From its child-like wonder rooted in the ever-changing scenery beyond our windows, the uncertain yet harmonic crowning of trees as they dance with the whistling wind, and the brightness of the sun brings hope that things will come in full circle.
Well, somehow.
Well, somehow.

I’ve been nocturnal for the past few months. The subtle burning sensation from the warmth of the sun is slowly fading from my memory. From this, the concept of Wonderwall came to life. The Wonderwall Window can easily bring daylight wherever and whenever you want it to be without having to break your wall.
While cases of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) are more common in people living farther north during shorter daylight hours (NIMH). I still wanted to create a wall lighting that reminds me of the scenery outside as I bask in the warmth of the sun.
The lighting used in Wonderwall is daylight with an intention to bring 10,000 lux* advised by the Harvard Health Publishing for light therapy.
And after all, Wonderwall addresses the opportunity to bring daylight through interactive geometric design inspired by the De Stijl movement. A symbolic motion as the day goes by, the push and pull as the sun rises and the moon emerges.
Wonderwall is proposed as a designer made SAD Light Box Therapy prototype.
